South Lawn with view of Manor House and Bride’s Cottage

The Grounds: There are several areas where a tented reception or open air ceremony could take place at Historic Rockland. The largest and most expansive area is the South Lawn with its views out to the meadow garden and the cattle field beyond. Ceremonies have also taken place opposite the swimming pool which is a great place for a cocktail reception. Perhaps one of the prettiest spots is the area below the rock outcroppings looking up through the gardens. Here the view of the blooms nestled in among the rocks with the Georgian architecture of the Manor House as a backdrop is spectacular.

Formal Living Room
Manor House: The interior of the historic Manor House is also available for wedding photographs.

Formal Living Room: 22’ X 40’.  Using existing antique furnishings, there is room for 15 – 20 people seated. For a small wedding ceremony or rehearsal dinner the furniture can be removed and there is room for 60 people seated and about 80 people standing. This room also houses a grand piano with optional, computerized self player.

Manor House Kitchen: There is a spacious kitchen which can be used as a caterer’s station for preparing and serving food. It is not a commercial kitchen.

Wedding Party Cottages: There are two lovely cottages available for the bridal party. On the left is a three bedroom, two bathroom brick house with plenty of room for the bride and her attendants.  The Quarters (right) is suitable for the groomsmen.
